Do I already own this?
One searchable collection
SavageCollections brings our books, comics, pulp magazines, fanzines and other publications into one private catalogue. I built it for a familiar problem: standing in a second-hand shop or browsing online and wondering whether I already own something.
A web dashboard and native Android app let Ingeborg and me search, check ownership, track multiple copies and record where things are stored. Cover recognition and barcode scanning help identify publications; series views show what we have and where the gaps are.
Formats and revisions can be tracked separately, including hardcovers, paperbacks and updated printings that share an ISBN.
Connected, and kept private
Ownership synchronises in both directions with REH Publications. Comic information comes from Metron, with Norwegian comic data and covers from minetegneserier.no. The collection originally imported from CLZ Comic Collector is preserved.
SavageCollections runs alongside SavageHome on my own server, shares the same user accounts and is reached remotely through Tailscale. The catalogue and app are private. The aim is less time managing lists and more time enjoying the collection.
