Listening library online · Studio in development
Stories. Voices. Atmosphere.
The audiobook studio
Pulpwave brings my production studio and listening app together. I built it to turn complete, unabridged pulp stories and poetry into directed performances, with distinct characters, music and sound tied to the story. Savage Audio Studio and Pulpwave Studio are the same project.
Manuscripts become scenes and spoken clips. I audition voices, give delivery and pronunciation notes, and regenerate individual passages. ElevenLabs supplies speech, music and generated effects; Freesound adds recorded sounds with source and licence information retained for credits.
Separate sound layers have their own timing, levels and fades. Existing recordings can be reused and mixed without new speech generation. Usage tracking keeps auditions and retakes visible.
Listen and read along
Finished productions go to the web library and Android app. Playback includes word-by-word read-along highlighting, scene navigation, saved positions and Continue listening. Stories and poems have separate shelves, with search and genre filters.
The Android app can save audio, text and timing for offline listening. Private previews and listening-review notes link corrections back to the right story and clip in Studio.
An independent, non-commercial fan project. The Studio is a private production tool; the listening library is public. The mobile screenshot shows the live web listener at phone size, using the interface shared with the Android app.
