About this edition
The original Companion surveys the novels, newspaper strips and characters and includes story outlines and illustrations by the principal strip artists. Book Palace dates this edition 30 March 2006; its description of the expanded edition refers to the first edition as 2005. The discrepancy has not been resolved against a physical copy.
The book was accompanied by a CD-ROM, The Modesty Blaise Companion Companion, with strip-by-strip information such as numbering, original publication dates, cast lists and settings. The publisher describes 100 numbered Super Deluxe copies plus 26 lettered contributors’ copies, alongside 300 numbered Deluxe copies.
The linked seller’s example is contributor copy C of 26, signed by Peter O’Donnell and Lawrence Blackmore, with a print signed by Romero. Those signatures and the letter identify the advertised copy; individual copies should be checked.
