Dinah first enters the prose adventures as Dinah Pilgrim in A Taste for Death. Blindness and an unusual gift for dowsing shape the dangers she faces, but she also has a place in the everyday friendships around Modesty and Willie.
Her relationship with Steve continues through novels and short stories. In The Night of Morningstar, the Colliers join Modesty and Weng at the bridge table, a glimpse of their life away from the main action.
Lady in the Dark, A Present for the Princess and Durango document her newspaper appearances with Steve. Shared names and relationships should not be read as proof that the prose and strip histories are identical.
