Private home control
SavageHome is a private home-control application for its owner’s household. It brings lighting, media controls and authorized Google Nest cameras into one dashboard.
The Google Nest connection uses Home Assistant and Google’s authorized APIs to display live camera video, supported snapshots and camera or doorbell events selected by the account owner. Access requires the owner’s consent.
This page provides application information only. SavageHome is not available for public registration. This website does not provide access to the private dashboard, devices or camera feeds.

SavageHome privacy policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
SavageHome is operated by Ståle Gismervik for private household use. This policy describes its use of Google account and Nest device data, not purchases in the separate savage.no webshop.
Information and purpose
With the account owner’s authorization, the Google Nest integration accesses information about authorized homes and devices, live camera streams, supported snapshots and device events, including doorbell events. This information provides camera views, device status and household alerts. Google’s authorization and Cloud Pub/Sub services support the connection and event delivery.
Storage and access
Authorization credentials, device configuration and locally retained event information are held within the private SavageHome/Home Assistant setup. Camera video and snapshots are processed for the requested viewing and alert functions. Google-hosted recording history remains subject to the owner’s Google subscription, settings and Google’s policies. Locally saved media or event data is managed separately by the owner.
Access to the home-control system is limited to people authorized by the owner. Camera feeds and the private dashboard are not published on this website.
Sharing and use limitations
Google user data is not sold or used for advertising. It is used for the private home-control functions described here and exchanged with services necessary to provide the authorized integration. It is not published on savage.no or used to train generalized AI models.
SavageHome’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data
The account owner can revoke SavageHome’s authorization in Google Account connections and remove the Nest integration from Home Assistant. Revoking access stops future authorized access; it does not itself delete previously saved local data or Google-hosted recordings. The owner can delete locally retained information and manage Google recording history through the respective systems. For requests about SavageHome data, contact staale@savage.no.
